Responsibilities:
The Patient Service Coordinator is responsible for the coordinating of all administrative tasks for patients and physicians.
Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments and calling to confirm appointments Loading or confirming insurance, demographic and pharmacy information into EMR system when scheduling appointments Providing administrative support to the physicians as requested Coordinating prescription refills Greeting all patients and visitors in a prompt and courteous manner Scheduling and coordinating referrals and testing for patients.
Instructing patients on pretesting procedures and preparing paperwork as needed Helping patients access EMR Portal, explaining appointment messaging Entering daily charges accurately and in a timely manner Collecting copays and balances from patients Managing medical records requests Managing all documents by scanning, filing, faxing and uploading insurance cards during each patient check-in Typing documents and correspondence as needed Maintaining a neat and organized work area Attending staff and manager meetings Providing cross-coverage as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma Comprehensive knowledge of medical and insurance terminology Knowledge of medical insurance plans Excellent customer service skills, computer and organizational skills required Minimum of two years medical office experience Proves stability in previous positions Prior experience scheduling Chemotherapy infusions a PLUS! Prior eClinicalWorks experience a PLUS! Job Type:
