Are you in?PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONThe Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for planning and executing internal or external communications programs and activities as needed by the Managers of Communications or Directors of Communications.
The Specialist serves as a point of contact for internal or external communications and works in or with the business units to coordinate content, guidelines and implementation, and to ensure consistent messaging and corporate identity.
Responsibilities include media relations, interaction with advertising/marketing vendors and community outreach.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure effective communication of company goals and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
Support and participate in the development and implementation of internal and external communications programs and initiatives.
Manage a variety of internal, external and marketing communications tasks to support leadership, including preparation of a range of communications publications, talking points, presentations, and other materials.
Develop strong working relationship with other business units, local press and community officials, as needed, to implement community outreach programs.
Coordinate media outreach initiatives as needed.
JOB SCOPE Directly supports the Manager, Communications, or Director, Communications, as needed.
Position activities are focused on internal and external communications to employees and external stakeholders, which support initiatives and projects developed by corporate communications and business unit organizations for broader application.
Requires significant outreach to internal and external audiences and development of strong relationships.
Involves proactive communication planning and plan execution, project leadership and a high level of coordination with other communication functions within Corporate.
Requires ability to develop communications strategies.
Requires ability to travel.
Works under minimal supervision.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 4-year relevant degree and 4-7 years' experience in communications (media relations, employee communications or advertising).
Proven, excellent communications skills - both written and interpersonal.
Strong analytical skills Excellent organizational and presentation skills Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with senior business leaders and the local press.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field.
Energy business/industry knowledge.
Experience with media reporting platforms like Public Relay or Cision.
Capitol Hill, campaign, or political staffing experience.
Agency experience with Fortune 500 companies.
Crisis or issues experience with large national brands.
Experience speaking on the record with national news reporters.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams that have direct interaction with projects involving senior company leadership.
Recommended Skills Analytical Creativity Innovation Internal Communications Journalism Leadership Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
