Job Description:
Terms of Employment o Permanent, Direct Hire o This is a hybrid position.
Candidates must be comfortable working onsite two-to-three days per week, and can sit in Timonium, MD (21093), Annapolis, MD (21401), or Washington, DC (20003).
Purpose of Position o The firm has expanded faster than anticipated and needs additional staff to support the business - namely in the business valuation vertical.
Scope of Position o Our client is looking for two (2) Supervisor, Business Valuation to join a growing firm focused on dispute consulting, business valuation, forensic accounting, and transaction advisory services.
In support of and with guidance from senior members of the firm, these individuals will assist clients with challenging financial and economic issues in complex litigation and business valuation matters.
Cases supported can range from small breaches of contract to major, publicized litigation.
These positions are not traditional head down opportunities.
The firm allows its employees networking opportunities, with the ability to generate new business.
Required Skills & Experience o Possess relevant business valuation credential(s) such as Accredited Member (AM), Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Certified Business Appraiser (CBA), and/or Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA).
o Bachelor's degree and 3
years of experience in business valuation analysis.
o Experience in financial forensic analysis.
o Skilled in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, index/matching, etc.
).
o Strong ability to articulate, in writing, the opinions and analysis of the assignment.
o Intellectually curious with the ability to take a difficult valuation assignment and drive the work forward to completion.
o Excellent verbal communication skills with an interest and desire to build a network at an executive level.
Preferred Skills & Experienceo Experience in forensic accounting / auditing, financial analysis, litigation support, tax preparation, and/or investment management.
o Master of Business Administration (MBA) or in pursuit of.
