- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism.
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and therapists to ensure the well-being of individuals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress.
Requirements:
Shifts would be M-F 4pm to 9pm Weekends Available - Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed.
- Experience in childcare or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration and first aid procedures.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to transport individuals as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must have current AHA compliant CPR & First Aid.
Clean Driving Record required, must pass a Criminal Background Check and CPS Background Check.
Experience working with developmentally challenged individuals required.
Prefer someone with experience working with individuals diagnosed with autism.
Competitive pay rate.
