Electrical Engineer

OverviewThe Ventev Infrastructure team, a part of Tessco, develops product offering roadmaps and then innovates, develops, engineers, and specifies the product offering that will satisfy the unmet needs of a broad base of customers.
The team is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to add to the team.
This Electrical Engineer will be responsible for defining and designing power systems for wireless networking equipment.
This engineer will work closely with product, project, sourcing, manufacturing, and operations.
Responsibilities Design electrical power systems that power small scale Wi-Fi, Internet of things (IoT), and Cellular equipment.
Collaborate with Product Development teams to design and develop high quality products:
Conduct Design Reviews which consist of Product Requirements Document (PRD), Assembly Instructions, etc.
Create detailed electrical technical specs for development of new or modifications to existing products.
Ensure appropriate testing is performed to ensure the product meets the technical specifications.
Review root cause analysis on any failures and ensure fixes are put in place prior to release.
Create troubleshooting guides.
Build prototype enclosures for customer orders including wiring of power supplies, networking equipment, and testing.
Create Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) for product changes.
Work with manufacturing technicians on any issues or questions during assembly of enclosures.
Work with sales, product, and customers on technical questions on products that you have designed.
Continued research of industry trends and new technologies.
Possible travel for technical development with US and international partners.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
2-5 years relevant work experience.
Familiarity with low power DC and AC power systems.
Capable of using hardware and software to evaluate electronic designs including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, Multimeters, and power supplies.
Solidworks Electrical Experience is preferred.
Understanding of AC and DC circuits.
Understanding the intricacies between various technologies (Wi-Fi, LTE, 5G, SCADA, PoE, Battery Charging, SNMP Messaging) preferred, but not required.
Capable of reading electrical schematics.
Detail oriented.
Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to due dates, ability to plan and prioritize.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
